About the Artist

My work is shaped by curiosity and perspective. Through travel, I have witnessed the vast diversity of cultures, landscapes, and ways of life across our world, forming my understanding of value and form. Grounded in origin, and the balance of permanence and impermanence, these experiences have inspired the core concepts behind my work. Through traditional fabrication and experimental methods, I create pieces that explore the individuality and beauty of natural form.

The jewelry industry exists within complex social and environmental systems, shaped by ongoing human and ecological exploitation. I remain aware of these challenges and minimise my contribution to them, sourcing traceable and ethically produced materials. Guided by perspectives gained through my travels, each piece that I create reflects the diversity of our world while supporting the people and environments at the source of the material.

Casting Organic Form

The void between material, the absence and negative space, holds as much significance as the form itself. This space creates unpredictable structure and depth within the flow of molten metal, revealing the beauty within imperfection. In my jewelry, negative space is not empty, it is an essential part of the composition and process, a narrative of singularity, of presence and absence.

Using my own distinctive, experimental process, free casting, my work studies the unpredictable flow of molten metal as it solidifies within the void of form, capturing the negative space in a singular moment. Refined and composed with hand-formed elements, and precisely placed gemstones, each piece is a statement of organic fluidity and intentional composition, of control and chaos, a sculptural fragment of nature’s infinite variation.

My Philosophy behind Imperfection

In nature, imperfection is not something to be fixed; it’s an inherent part of the beauty that surrounds us. My jewelry is a study of the unpredictability and fluidity of life, where every element, form, and texture carries its own meaning and identity. By capturing these singular moments and embracing the natural imperfections of the flowing metal, each piece creates a form of wearable art that celebrates life’s unpredictability, a connection between the wearer and nature, the permanence and impermanence of the world we live in.

Responsible Sourcing

Every gemstone carries a story long before it becomes part of a finished piece. Responsible sourcing seeks to preserve that connection, bringing together place, process, and craftsmanship through thoughtfully selected, traceable materials. By sourcing directly whenever possible, a traceable connection is created between the finished jewelry and its place of origin while directly supporting the skilled work of the miners, lapidaries, and communities behind every gemstone.

In 2026, this approach led to a month-long journey across Namibia to personally source gemstones directly from their place of origin. Traveling more than 2,800 miles throughout the country, visits to family-run lapidaries, small-scale mining operations, and local jewelers provided the opportunity to better understand the journey of each stone, from the earth to its finished form. The experience inspired the creation of the Namibia Collection, where every piece reflects a deeper connection between material, place, and craftsmanship.

Every piece represents an ongoing exploration of material, process, and place. Through thoughtful design, meticulous craftsmanship, and a commitment to responsible sourcing, the goal is to create contemporary jewelry that celebrates the remarkable beauty and individuality of every gemstone while preserving the story it carries.
